Web Developer

The Web Developer works on programming tasks that support needs of the data coordinating center of clinical trial research. The applicant is expected to have a complete understanding of web-based applications and knowledge of databases.

Essential Functions

  • Work closely with business users to define functional and technical requirements
  • Create new applications and maintenance of existing code base
  • Documentation, development, testing, and debugging of programs
  • Relies on pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job

Requirements:

  • Programming skills for development of web applications using current technologies, experience using .Net Framework preferred
  • An understanding of databases, experience with Microsoft SQL Server preferred
  • Good organizational skills, attention to detail, and accurate execution of tasks
  • Effective collaboration with other staff
  • Relevant experience or a bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related fields

The Jaeb Center for Health Research, Inc. is a Tampa based company that coordinates medical studies and epidemiological research primarily in the areas of type 1 diabetes and eye disorders. Among our current major projects are a registry and biobank for people with type 1 diabetes, a network conducting studies on diabetic retinopathy and diabetic macular edema, and a network researching eye disorders in children. Our studies are conducted at locations across the country using proprietary web-based applications and materials developed by our programming and database teams.

Biostatistician II

Biostatistician II for Jaeb Center for Health Research Foundation, Inc. to work at our Tampa, FL loc. Pos. will work independently + will serve as a scientific investigator on studies. Perf. data analyses, manuscript prep,+ protocol dev. Draft reports of stat analysis using graphs, charts, + tables. Process lrg amts of data for stat modeling. Effectively communicate data results to investigators. Identify data trends/factors impacting research. Prep data for processing. Ensure data validity + accuracy. Determine sample sizes. Design research projects applying scientific techniques. Some travel may be involved. Must have Master's in Biostatistics, Statistics, Epidemiology or a closely rel field and 3 yrs rel exp to incl: data analysis, prep of data reports + manuscripts, and communication of data results to investigators.

Chief Administrative Officer

Responsibilities
The Chief Administrative Officer reports to the Executive Director, particularly on financial and corporate issues, and works closely with the Director of Research Administration.

Finances/Investments

  • Cash flow
  • Bank accounts, CDs, and investments
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Annual external financial audit
  • 401K audit

Human Resources and Payroll

  • Oversee HR policies
  • Oversee HR issues as they arise
  • Oversee benefits
  • Oversee payroll
  • Oversee payroll tax forms, including 941, SUTA, W2

Contracts

  • Meeting-related contracts

Qualifications
The Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) must have a strong accounting background and administrative experience in supervising personnel. Experience in the responsibilities listed above is desired.

Additionally, the CAO should have the following experience and attributes:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • Demonstrated experience in financial management and accounting.
  • Experience supervising personnel
  • Excellent people skills, with experience collaborating in a multi-disciplinary, diverse, and dynamic team.
  • Experience with legal, audit, compliance, budget, and resource development.
  • Demonstrated resourcefulness in setting priorities and proposing new ways of creating efficiencies.
  • Flexible and a self-starter; able to multi-task while also being highly detail-oriented.
  • Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and a commitment to JCHR's nonprofit mission.
